The Joint Border Committee meeting on the demarcation of the Thai-Cambodian land border began at around 12 noon, with the Cambodian delegation led by Lam Chea, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of Border Affairs, and the Thai delegation led by Prasas Prasasvinitchai, former Thai ambassador to Cambodia in 2009.
The two sides will discuss the demarcation of the remaining border posts, but will not discuss the four areas which are the subject of current disputes – the Ta Moan Thom, Ta Moan Toch and Ta Krabei temples and Mombei area – or the current border crossing closures.
