Three naturalised foreign footballers who delivered strong performances in the Cambodian Premier League and Hun Sen Cup have been left out of the national squad’s training camp, as they prepare for a June 5 friendly against Tajikistan.

Japan-born midfielder Yudai Ogawa, Colombia-born midfielder Nieto Rondon and Japan-born defender Takaki Ose will not run out onto the pitch for the international clash at the National Olympic Stadium, despite previously having played for the Kouprey.

Ogawa – who recently parted ways with Phnom Penh Crown FC – and Rondon are both serving suspensions due to red cards received in past international matches. Ose, whose departure from Crown was announced at midday today, will also miss the match, although no specific reason was given.

Two naturalised players who helped an ASEAN All Stars side hand a historic defeat to Manchester United last night made the squad.

South Africa-born defender Kan Mo and Ivory Coast-born striker Abdel Kader Coulibaly will join the training camp, as will Japan-born defender Mizuno Hikaru.
