KOREAN GAMBLER COMMITS SUICIDE
Chae Geong Seok, a Korean tourist, hanged himself in a Phnom Penh hotel after gambling away his fortune. Police found him hanging on Tuesday in his Kushion Hotel room with a suicide note explaining to his family that his money was all gone. The body was taken to Calmette Hospital for his family to pick up.

SLEEPING MAN SURVIVES STABBING
Sath Heng, 28, was stabbed in the throat while sleeping on Tuesday by two men in Kror Kor district, Pursat province. Sath Heng survived and is in a provincial hospital, while the two Vietnamese assailants were sent to the provincial court.

POLICE STONE WORKERS
Two workers filed a complaint at Wat Phnom police station on Wednesday after a male policeman with two accomplices allegedly threw stones at them and hit them with his gun. The event occurred Tuesday night. The two victims were Deab Yong, male, 24, and Sath Sar, male, 17

ONE KILLED DURING CELEBRATION
During a Katen celebration on Tuesday, Hor Kim Han, 24, was stabbed to death by gangsters. The murder took place in Kror Peu Kaeth village in Kampong Cham’s Memot district. Moch Sopha, 18, and Tes Buntheng, 25, were wounded in the attack.

WORKER TRIPS AND FALLS TO DEATH
Eung Samnang, 30, tripped on a loose piece of timber while doing construction work on the first floor and fell onto two bars of steel. Workers then attempted to cut and remove the bars from his back. He died later at Calmette Hospital. The accident happened at the CamKo City construction site in Phnom Penh.

MURDER-SUICIDE OVER LAND SALE
Lady Iem Nhor, 45, was stabbed to death by Real Voeun, 41, who then proceeded to kill himself with the same knife. After Real Voeun’s wife had sold his land to the victim, the assailant had an argument with Lady Iem Nhor in Kampong Cham’s Kang Meas district which then escalated into the murder-suicide on Wednesday.
