The Sousdey Indonesia 2025 exhibition, held at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center over the weekend, saw the pubic enjoy a vibrant display which celebrated Indonesian-Cambodian connections.

The two-day event showcased the best of Indonesian culture, business and innovation, while fostering deeper ties between the two nations.

The exhibition was opened by Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia Santo Darmosumarto, and Buon Sarakmony, Ministry of commerce secretary of state.

Ambassador Santo explained that the event’s goal was to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries, with a particular focus on vital sectors like healthcare and education.

“Sousdey Indonesia 2025 is more than just an exhibition; it’s a bridge for collaboration, offering opportunities for Indonesian businesses to engage with Cambodia’s priorities in healthcare and education," he said, during his opening address.

The event, formerly known as the Indonesian Trade and Tourism Promotion (ITTP), was rebranded as Sousdey Indonesia in 2024 to better resonate with a Cambodian audience.

Now in its 16th edition, Sousdey Indonesia 2025 featured 52 exhibitors representing diverse industries such as education, fashion, food and beverage, furniture, pharmaceuticals and personal care.

This year’s event boasted a balanced mix of participants from both Cambodia and Indonesia, underscoring the spirit of partnership.

The exhibition was about more than trade. It was designed to be a multi-faceted experience, offering visitors a rich program of cultural performances, games, a culinary festival and tourism promotions.

The event also featured an education forum, where experts discussed the potential of Indonesian pharmaceutical products to enhance Cambodia’s healthcare system.

“A traditional fashion show highlighted the unique garments of both countries, giving attendees a chance to purchase one-of-a-kind items,” noted the Indonesian embassy.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors enjoyed live performances from popular Khmer singers, Sai and Khmeng Khmer.

The event ws supported by various partners, including Smart Axiata, Prince Bank, AirAsia, Phillip Bank, Kino Cambodia and IndoCham.

Exciting prizes such as electric motorbikes, round-trip tickets from Phnom Penh to Jakarta, and hotel vouchers were also up for grabs, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The event not only highlighted the dynamic business exchange between Indonesia and Cambodia but also emphasised the cultural and people-to-people connections that drive long-lasting friendships and mutual growth.
