PPCBank, launched in Cambodia in September 2008, is recognised as one of the Kingdom’s leading commercial banks in providing convenient financial solutions to its customers and has officially become the 36th member of the Cambodia Data eXchange (CamDX) on January 21, 2025. 

This achievement means that the bank will be able to use two of the services available on CamDX platform: The Electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) system and the Electronic Know Your Business (e-KYB) that uses the Application Programming Interface (API) for verification. The Bank is also proud to be the first member of the private sector to use the Electronic Know Your Business (e-KYB).

Cambodia Data eXchange (CamDX) is a unified yet decentralised data exchange layer between information systems that offers a standardised and secure way to provide and consume services. The platform was developed and launched by the Techo Startup Center under Ministry of Economy and Finance. CamDX aims to enhance the financial ecosystem by providing an efficient and secure platform for data exchange and promoting financial inclusion. 

The Electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) is Cambodia's first system designed with the principle of paperless electronic data verification, while maintaining the privacy and security of the data of General Department of Identification at Ministry of Interior. Through e-KYC system, PPCBank can verify customers’ documents digitally, matching the data faster, easier and more secure.

The Electronic Know Your Business (e-KYB) is a verification system that confirms identity, legal status, enterprise affiliation and connections to other individuals or businesses. It covers business registration, tax registration and enterprise declarations, utilizing data from the Ministry of Commerce, the General Department of Taxation, and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.

With this advantage, the e-KYB system enables PPCBank to efficiently verify an enterprise's identity, status and legal compliance faster with trust and security. This is achieved by crosschecking enterprise data with the Base Registry at the relevant government ministries and authorities.
