Hun Sen said in a statement that the listing has not only met with acclaim from the international community, but also helped raise the profile of Cambodian temples and cultural heritage assets to the world.
“After being listed as a World Heritage Site, the Sambor Prei Kuk temples have become an attractive historical and cultural tourism site.
“Let us all join hands to protect all temples across the country and ensure their sustainability for all successive Khmer generations,” he said.
