More than 20,000 job vacancies offered by more than 100 public and private institutions await applicants at the 11th National Career and Productivity Fair, according to Minister of Labour and Vocational Training Ith Sam Heng.

This year, the event is held virtually from November 4-5 according to schedule planned before Prime Minister Hun Sen declared the country fully reopen.

Sam Heng said this year’s fair had been actively participated by more than 100 leading companies, enterprises, state institutions as well as local and international development partners.

“This career fair is efficiently organised according to the needs of employers and job seekers in order to provide a lively atmosphere and timely response to the labour market demands. It aims to attract potential and skilled labour forces to fill the vacancies in all sectors,” Sam Heng said.

The fair, though held virtually, creates an atmosphere for better communication among employers, visitors and job seekers, he said.

He explained that the event was held in the context of Covid-19 despite the recent full reopening of the country to mitigate transmission risks and ensure health and safety of employers and prospective employees.

The online career fair is open to the public through careerfair.nea.gov.kh.
