Unilever (Cambodia) Limited celebrated its official launch on November 5 at the Inter-Continental
Hotel at a ceremony presided over by Cham Prasidh, Minister of Commerce, and British
Ambassador Stephen Bridges. Hubert van Iwaarden, chairman of the new Cambodian entity,
said the international Unilever company-formed from a 1930 merger of Dutch company
Margarine Unie and British soapmaker Lever Brothers-began business in Cambodia over
10 years ago and its business has grown. It supplies products such as Viso, Lux,
Sunsilk, Close up and Knorr.
