The Ministry of Health issued a reminder to the general public that they should ensure their Covid-19 vaccinations are up to date.
The reminder came as an increase in community transmissions of the Omicron XBB.1.5 and other variants was recorded in the region, and the greater world.
In the June 2 statement, the ministry said individuals should receive a booster shot six months after their most recent vaccination, as recommended by the WHO.
“The parents of children aged 3 to 12 years old should also bring their kids to get their third and fourth booster shots,” it added.
“Parents of children who have turned three but have never received their first dose should visit the nearest vaccination centre as soon as possible,” it clarified.
