The American Math Competition (AMC) is now open for public registration for students from Grade 4 to Grade 10.

The AMC will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Westview Cambodian International School.

The rigorous American Math Competition is conducted through the NWEA MAP test, which is recognised by many well-known international schools across 145 countries worldwide.

Last year, the AMC received a lot of support and plenty of recognition from parents for its benefits in motivating students to learn mathematics both before and after the competition, as well as for the arrangement of the competition.

Participants came from Westview Cambodian International School, as well as from 33 other top national and international schools.

Medals and certificates will be awarded to the 70 per cent of participants achieving the highest scores. Students will also have an opportunity to receive a scholarship to study at Westview Cambodian International School.

Contestants will be required to bring a laptop running Microsoft Windows (not a MacBook).

They will use their laptop to complete all of the assessment questions on the day of competition.

Important dates:

• Registration will be open to all students from Grade 4 to Grade 10.

• Early bird registration fee is $30 from February 17 to February28, 2023.

• Late registration fee is $40 from March 1 to March 8, 2023.

• Registration will close at 4pm on March 8, 2023.

• Competition date is Saturday, March 18, 2023.
