Nearly 100 artworks by 91 artists will be displayed at Sa Sa Art Projects’ biannual Fundraising Auction & Exhibition 2022. SA SA ART PROJECTS
A collection of almost 100 unique contemporary visual artworks generously contributed by 91 Cambodian and foreign artists will be exhibited and then auctioned to raise funds to support the activities of Sa Sa Art Projects.
The exhibition will run from October 20 to November 10 at FT Gallery, located at The Factory, Phnom Penh.

Chum Chanveasna, manager and curator of Sa Sa, said the biannual exhibition and fundraising auction would support the organisations activities in 2023. These included education, exhibitions, and public programmes that benefit the growing art community of Cambodia.
“The auction is part of efforts by Sa Sa Art Projects to promote financial self-sufficiency. The money raised will be used to support our programmes and the participating artists. We will hold online auctions while the works are on display,” he said.
“This contemporary art exhibition program brings together nearly 100 works, including paintings, photos, sculptures and videos. The exhibition presents an impressive highlights package of contemporary visual arts from Cambodia and the greater region,” he added.
The show will feature works by 66 Cambodian and 25 international artists, who hail from as near as Thailand and Myanmar and as far away as Australia and China.
Sa Sa Art Projects is a Cambodian not-for-profit artist-run space dedicated to experimental and critical contemporary art practices. The project was founded in 2010 by the Cambodian arts collective Stiev Selapak and operated from the historic and vibrant apartment complex known as the White Building until 2017, when the building was demolished.
In its present location, Sa Sa Art Projects has shifted toward a stronger engagement with young Cambodian artists and art graduates while continuing to build a deeper dialogue with artists throughout Asia through its creative education programmes, exhibitions, its signature Pisaot artist residency, and other collaborative projects.
This is the second large-scale fundraising auction the organisation has held, with the first taking place in 2020.
