New strategic partnership brings high-quality “on the go” convenience to more Cambodians.
Kampuchea Tela Limited and DFI Lucky Private Limited, known as Lucky Supermarket, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at Tela’s headquarters on September 10, 2024. This agreement marks the beginning of a strategic retail cooperation aimed at enhancing customer convenience. The event was attended by the management and staff of both companies, as well as distinguished guests and media representatives.
This marks a significant milestone for both companies as they join forces to enhance convenience and service offerings for their customers across the Kingdom.
Under the partnership, DFI Lucky’s convenience stores will replace selected Tela Mart convenience stores at Tela Gas Stations throughout Cambodia. The Lucky Mini stores will offer a diverse range of local and international products, including snacks, beverages, groceries and more, catering to the needs of customers seeking fast service, quality products and convenience on the go.
“I am very excited about this partnership, which will benefit both our companies and the Cambodian people by providing high-quality products, fast and reliable customer service, while fostering local economic growth. Khmer should support and grow with Khmer,” said Neak Okhna Chhun On, CEO of Kampuchea Tela Limited.
“Both Kampuchea Tela Limited and Lucky Supermarkets are Cambodian-founded companies, each with more than 30 years’ experience in serving the Cambodian people,” he noted.
Jose Carlos Reis Bettencourt, CEO of DFI Lucky Private Limited, also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, and firmly committed to bringing the best service to serve the customers of both companies.
“We are delighted to cooperate with an established company like Kampuchea Tela to grow our presence in Cambodia, while providing convenience and superior service to even more Cambodian customers. This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to enhancing customer convenience and satisfaction.”
When asked how the company plans to compete with the numerous supermarkets and mini-markets currently operating in Cambodia, the CEO explained that Lucky Supermarket now operates nearly 100 stores across the country. The stores offer a diverse selection of fresh foods and groceries, as well as exclusive imported brands unavailable elsewhere in Cambodia. As a result, the company is committed to providing top-quality products and greater convenience to better serve Cambodian customers.
The retail cooperation arrangement between the two companies will take effect from November 1, with selected Tela Mart Convenience undergoinga gradual conversion to Lucky Mini stores.
