Starlight Apparel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. – a subsidiary of Crystal International Group Limited – on April 11, 2023 improved the quality of life for a community in Prey Veng province with the donation of a water purification system.

Access to pure drinking water can be an issue in some of Cambodia’s rural communities, especially for children and students, and Mr and Mrs Lo, Crystal Group Chairman and Vice Chairwoman, seek to address the problem as it aligns with the company's vision regarding employee and community care.

In a ceremony at the Peam Ampil Primary School, Mr and Mrs Lo handed over the filtration system, which is to greatly benefit students and teachers, as well as the surrounding community.

The donated purification system has the capacity to provide 250 litres per hour, or 6,000 litres per day, giving the school's 273 students, their teachers and nearby residents abundant access to clean drinking water.

It will help reduce household expenses and contribute to improved health for the children and other members of the community, of whom 470 are employees of Starlight Apparel Manufacturing.

Mr and Mrs Lo and the management of Starlight Apparel Manufacturing used the occasion to also distribute school supplies including stationery, bags, books, pens and bottles of water to the 273 students of Peam Ampil Primary School and their teachers.
