On June 5, the 2nd Award Ceremony of the SPIC Green ASEAN Scholarship was held at Guangxi Minzu University, honouring 126 international students from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and other countries. Over the years, a total of 304 distinguished international students have received the award.

The SPIC Green ASEAN Scholarship, established by Guangxi Electric Power Co Ltd, a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation Ltd (SPIC) and one of China's leading power generation groups, is funded with five million Chinese Yuan and is planned to support international students in China over five years. 

The scholarship aims to promote the concept of clean energy development and encourage students from ASEAN countries to grow holistically, contributing to China-ASEAN cooperation, renewable energy transformation and development, benefiting ASEAN countries and their populations.

A Amid global concerns about climate issues, SPIC stands as a leader in energy conservation and emissions reduction. The company's installed capacity is at the forefront, encompassing photovoltaic, wind power, hydrogen energy and green electric transportation. SPIC aims to share its experience and achievements in sustainable energy development with ASEAN countries to help build green nations. 

Guangxi Electric Power is actively investing in clean energy development in several ASEAN countries and has established subsidiaries in Indonesia and the Philippines, with preparations underway for a subsidiary in Cambodia. The company welcomes students from ASEAN to join their efforts in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
