Siem Reap Bannalay public library opens
Siem Reap Bannalay – a public library and cultural centre – launched on January 23 to instil good reading habits and raise awareness on arts and culture among all segments of society. As well as the availability of a wide collection of books, the newly established centre offers lessons in music, dance and art. With public has access to around 4,000 books – both in Khmer and English – a small section is dedicated to international titles and children’s collections. The Khmer editions were donated by French education NGO and publisher Sipar and Reading Book Cambodia, another publishing house in the Kingdom. PHOTOS SUPPLIED
