Sambat Finance Plc has from this May begun offering three-month interest-free Covid-19 relief loans to the employees of its CSR partners who are participating in the scheme.
The programme is aimed at relieving the financial hardship faced by communities and is testament to Sambat’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts during these challenging times.
“In light of the recent Covid-19 outbreak that has affected the livelihoods of many residents of Phnom Penh, we are pleased to announce our special interest-free Covid-19 Relief Loan Programme for the workers of our participating CSR partners,” said Sambat Finance managing director Harvey Poh.
The application process for the loan programme ends on August 31, 2021.
Sambat said he hopes the contribution to communities may encourage other organisations to join the microfinance institution in offering financial support to more people in distress due to the effects of the ongoing pandemic.
“We are now receiving applications for Covid-19 relief loans. All applications will be processed within 24 hours using our digital financial services platform, and, if approved, the loan is disbursed into your payment channel account by the next business day.
“We wish to advise that the information required for the application must be transmitted to us via our dedicated communication channels, such as Telegram or Facebook, and no face-to-face interaction is required.
“We are also in the process of signing up further CSR partners to reach out to more people affected by the pandemic, and those interested can contact us,” Poh said.
