OCIC Group has selected a consortium led by Lagardère Travel Retail and HSC Group for the management of the duty-free services at Phnom Penh's Techo International Airport.
Techo International Airport has been designed by world-renowned British architecture firm Foster + Partners and is scheduled to open in 2025.
The decision on the duty-free services was announced during the signing ceremonies at the MEDEF Economic Forum in Paris, on Cambodian Prime Minister Dr. Hun Manet's official visit to France.
The Techo International Airport – developed by Cambodia Airport Investment Company (CAIC), and a joint venture between OCIC Group and SSCA – is intended to massively enhance Cambodia's global connectivity.

The signing of the Letter of Acceptance took place in Paris on January 15, 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Hun Manet.
The letter was signed by Dr. Lim Lina, Vice Chairwoman of CAIC and OCIC Group, along with Dag Rasmussen, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail, Lok Oknha Sok Hong, Chairman and CEO of HSC Group, and Séverine Lanthier.
“Through our collaboration with Lagardère Travel Retail and HSC Group as our duty-free concessionaires, we anticipate significant added value for frequent flyers travelling to and from Phnom Penh," said Oknha Charles Vann, Director of Cambodia Airport Investment Company.
"We are confident that these initiatives will foster the growth of Phnom Penh's tourism sector and contribute to the creation of employment opportunities for the local community in the immediate future.”
The Lagardère Travel Retail and OCIC collaboration is set to result in the finest curation of international, regional and local brands in Cambodia.
The French operator, present in 42 countries, generated more than €5 billion in turnover in 2023. In Asia, the group operates more than 250 stores.
