NongHyup Bank, headquartered in the Republic of Korea, and NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc, in the presence of Lee Seok Yong, Chief Executive Officer of NongHyup Bank, along with the management of both institutions, generously made a donation on August 8, 2023.
The donation consisted of essential supplies, including 1 ton of rice, 50 boxes of noodles, 50 boxes of canned fish, 50 kg of sugar, 50 kg of salt, 30 bottles of cooking oil, 50 boxes of soy sauce, 50 boxes of fish sauce, and a $5,000 financial contribution.
This donation was made to support AFESIP Cambodia, an organization located in the Dangkor district of Phnom Penh. At the same time, 155 children under the organization's care, each child received a thoughtful package containing 5 books, 5 pens, 5 pencils, 1 eraser, 1 ruler, 1 bag, and 1 water bottle. This donation is being held in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc's establishment in Cambodia.
AFESIP Cambodia is an organization dedicated to assisting young women and children who face the risk of becoming victims of sex trafficking, violence, and other forms of abuse. They provide crucial support through legal aid, health counseling, and comprehensive education and training these victims to become self-sufficient and thrive in society, just like any other normal people.
