New exco to steer Malaysian business chamber
New executive board members have assumed office following the Malaysia Business Chamber of Cambodia’s (MBCC) virtual annual general meeting on Friday.
The team’s top officials comprise president Tan Khee Meng of Baker Tilly (Cambodia) Co Lt and vice-presidents Syed Azmeer of Sedania Indochina Ltd and Mohan Tirugmanasam Bandam from (Vitrus Media Pte Ltd, Khmer Times).
While Lim Eu Jin from Dragonfly Fintech (Cambodia) Plc is the new secretary. The seven board members will hold office for two years.
Others include deputy secretary Stephanie Tang (Kampuchea Food Corporation Co Ltd), treasurer Daron Wong (Sok Siphana & Associates), and deputy treasurer Ooi Hock Kheng (Leader (Cambodia) Limited).
“The central focus is on the key missions and objectives of MBCC as a business chamber, to provide a platform to members to broaden business networking, to enhance engagements with relevant government agencies, and to support the growth of Malaysian businesses in Cambodia,” Tan, the seventh president, said after he was elected.
During the AGM, members also observed a 10-second silence as a mark of respect to former MBCC president Teh Sing who passed away on April 26. The chamber was started in February 1993 with Teh Sing elected as the first president. PHOTOS SUPPLIED
