Koh Pich’s Elysée Tower was illuminated in pink this weekend while offering free breast cancer screenings for women as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The screenings, organised by Intercare Hospital and supported by OCIC, Sovannaphum Life, Canadia Bank, Sabay and Sastra Film App Cambodia, offered women a convenient opportunity for early detection, emphasising proactive health care.
The pink lighting created a powerful visual statement, encouraging more people to spread awareness of the importance of early detection and the crucial need for the prevention of breast cancer.
According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide, and also one of the most treatable, underscoring the need for regular screenings and proactive health measures.
“Awareness and early screenings play a crucial role in the fight against breast cancer,” said Dr. Demosthenes Reyes of Intercare Hospital. “Encouraging our community to take these steps can make a real difference.”
