The Batumi Festival and LIXIN Event – a subsidiary of the LIXIN Group – served up a feast of beach volleyball in the Georgian Black Sea resort city with two exciting competitions held between September 5-10.
Organised by the Adjara Volleyball Federation, the first of the tournaments to thrill fans was "King of the Court", a modified format of volleyball featuring five teams in two groups, with the top side in each meeting in the final.
The team from Batumi emerged victorious in a hard-fought decider to claim the coveted of "King of the Court" title.
The second tournament was the Beach Volleyball International Championship, which attracted teams from a number countries to compete on Batumi's sandy Black Sea shore.
The STU team from the Georgian capital Tbilisi dominated the competition and took home the trophy, with the Batumi team finishing second and a side from Ukraine in third.
While the tournaments created an electrifying atmosphere for players and spectators alike, the Batumi Festival and LIXIN Event also laid on extra entertainment and fun activities for visitors.
These included a marina market carnival, live music and firework displays, ensuring the events were truly memorable and showcased the beauty and fun-loving spirit of Batumi.
