Mao Chanraksmey, nicknamed “Little Rabbit,” a fiction writer and the only daughter of legendary author Mao Samnang, has officially launched her fourth novel, The Man in White Suit (Part 2), which has been enthusiastically received by young readers.

Known for her talent in writing romance and supernatural novels, especially The Purple Diary, which remained a best-seller in various bookstores across the country for four consecutive years, Chanraksmey has garnered high praise from her readers on social media. 

This has made her new work highly anticipated by fiction fans. Her previous three novels have sold exceptionally well since 2020, including The Purple Diary (Parts 1 & 2) and The Man in White Suit (Part 1).

Her new novel continues the narrative from The Man in White Suit (Part 1), which revolves around a heartfelt, supernatural story of a guardian deity who sacrifices his chance to live in heaven to save a young woman in emotional distress, ultimately helping her find new hope in life. 

Published earlier in 2023, the sequel focuses on the love story between the guardian deity and Esther, a melancholic fashion designer, as they face inevitable real-life challenges. The story poses a question to readers: which is greater, love or adversity?

The sequel embeds messages of love and hope for young readers, offering more than just a dreamlike romance but also a deeply creative and thought-provoking work with educational value.

The memorable book launch, attended by notable individuals such as Sin Sedsochhata, granddaughter of the iconic Cambodian singer Sin Sisamuth, along with other literary figures, publishers and readers, was held at the Palace Gate Hotel & Resort on Sunday, September 22.
