This year, HEINEKEN celebrates a remarkable 30 years in Cambodia, marking this milestone with an exceptional year of achievements. This year has been particularly significant for the international brewer, as HEINEKEN Cambodia has received a record number of external recognitions.

These awards highlight the company’s relentless progress and profound impact as a leader in responsible business practices, underscoring its commitment to Brew A Better Cambodia under the 3 pillars of Environment, Sustainability and Responsiblility.

To mark HEINEKEN Cambodia’s 30th anniversary, the company had the honour of visiting Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet to celebrate this significant milestone. During the visit, HEINEKEN Cambodia unveiled a comprehensive socioeconomic impact report, which showcased the company’s remarkable contributions to the local economy, community development, and sustainable practices over the past three decades. 

These efforts have not gone unnoticed. Among the awards and recognitions the company received this year, some of the most remarkable awards included: 

  1. Outstanding Clean Energy Technologies Award: The brewer recently received at the 2024 Clean Energy Awards organised by EnergyLab Cambodia which recognised key contributions from individuals, organisations and initiatives that are driving Cambodia’s progress. This award recognises HEINEKEN Cambodia's use of the biomass plant operated and partnered with BECIS who generates thermal energy from rice husks.
  2. Certificate of Environmentally Friendly: Recognised by the Ministry of Environment under Circular Strategy from His Excellency Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment. The award recognises [EN1] the company’s sustainable business practices that prioritise positive environmental impact.
  3. Cambodia Green Industry Award: Granted by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), acknowledging HEINEKEN’s environmental stewardship. HEINEKEN Cambodia was awarded Silver at the MISTI’s Cambodian Green Industry Award 2024, in recognition of its dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility. MISTI’s awards recognises exemplary companies that promote and expand sustainable activities in the areas of climate change, environmental protection, resource efficiency and social responsibility, as well as sustainability awareness.
  4. ESG Diversity, Equity & Social Leader Award 2024: Another achievement during this anniversary year included HEINEKEN Cambodia winning the ESG Diversity, Equity & Social Leader Award 2024 by Eurocham Cambodia. The award recognised achievements in employee growth, inclusive hiring, DEI initiatives, community engagement, health and safety, and fostering work-life balance.
