LOLC (Cambodia) Plc is proud to stand alongside the Cambodian people in supporting a truly meaningful humanitarian initiative — the 2025 “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” campaign led by the Kantha Bopha Foundation, under the high patronage of Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, the Foundation’s Honorary President.

First Lady and Honorary Chair of the Kantha Bopha Foundation, Pich Chanmony officially launched the campaign on 01 June 2025.

“This is a powerful reminder to the staff of the hospitals that their work is seen and appreciated,” she said. “It reflects the people’s recognition of the immense value of saving children’s lives.”

As part of our continued commitment to social responsibility and national solidarity, LOLC (Cambodia) Plc actively promoted this charitable campaign across each of our branches and internal communications networks. Thanks to the compassion and generosity of our employees and loyal customers, a total of 24 million riel ($6,000) was successfully raised to support the foundation’s vital work.

This significant contribution will be directed toward the medical care and treatment of vulnerable infants, children, and pregnant women at the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals — a network that continues to provide free and high-quality healthcare to millions of Cambodians.

“At LOLC (Cambodia), we believe that our role extends far beyond financial services. We are a part of the communities we serve, and it is both our duty and our honor to support causes that directly improve the wellbeing of our fellow citizens,” said Mr. Sok Voeun, CEO of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc.

“The generosity shown by our staff and our clients during this campaign has been truly inspiring. It’s a reminder that when we come together, even the smallest contributions can create lasting change,” he added.

The campaign not only reflects the importance of access to healthcare but also the power of the community in ensuring that life-saving services are available to all.

The hospital requires an annual operating budget of $43 million, and relies entirely on the generosity of philanthropists – both Khmer and foreign – to provide free healthcare to the Kingdom’s most vulnerable children.

The foundation’s hospitals have provided free medical care to millions of Cambodian mothers and children since the foundation was established in 1992, with services ranging from pre- and post-natal care to open heart surgery.

In 2024 alone, the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital in Phnom Penh and Jayavarman VII Hospital in Siem Reap delivered treatment to 1,253,774 children and pregnant women, all entirely free of charge.

In a statement, the foundation highlighted this campaign as one of its most impactful annual initiatives, aimed at fostering national solidarity and strengthening the collective spirit of “Khmer Helping Khmer”. It called on every Cambodian to contribute just 10,000 riel — an affordable yet powerful gesture that, when multiplied, can have an extraordinary impact on lives across the nation.

Last year’s “10,000 Riel, 10,000 People” campaign raised in excess of $3 million, reflecting the generous spirit of the Kingdom’s philanthropists and businesses.

This initiative is just one example of how LOLC (Cambodia) Plc integrates corporate social responsibility into its core values. Beyond providing responsible financial services to empower individuals and businesses, the company continuously seeks opportunities to give back – especially to causes that uplift the nation’s most precious resource, the future leaders of tomorrow.

LOLC (Cambodia) Plc wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation to every donor who took part in this effort. Your contributions are not only supporting essential healthcare but also nurturing a brighter, healthier future for Cambodia’s next generation.

Together, we reaffirm the enduring spirit of compassion, unity and hope that defines the Cambodian people.
