Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak encouraged members of the Korea Importers Association to capitalise on Cambodia-Korea free trade agreement (CKFTA), ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Agreement, Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and other incentives provided by the Kingdom's new investment law.
Sorasak led a Cambodian private sector delegation to a January 26 meeting with association head Kim Byung-kwan and his colleagues in Seoul, in order to boost trade and investment in Cambodia.

The discussion was also attended by Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) secretary-general Sok Chenda Sophea.
Sorasak said the CKFTA provides favourable markets and conditions for the producers, exporters and importers from both Cambodia and South Korea. The agreement would boost mutual trade and investment, and will play an important role in fostering economic cooperation between the two countries.
Kim offered a warm welcome to the Cambodian delegation, according to a January 27 commerce ministry social media post.
He expressed optimism that the CKFTA will increase trade and investment between the two nations.
At the meeting, private sector representatives of the two countries introduced their business objectives and shared information on potential sectors/goods of interest for cooperation as well as future investment, added the ministry.
