The Ministry of Public Works and Transport said on November 10 that Schwab focused more on the connection between the private sector and the World Economic Forum during his luncheon meeting with Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol in Phnom Penh.
Also in attendance were Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron and Minister Attached to the Prime Minister Kao Kim Hourn, among other officials, and local business leaders.
The meeting was organised to strengthen cooperation between Cambodia and the World Economic Forum.
Schwab is visiting Cambodia for the first time to attend the ASEAN Global Dialogue on the sidelines of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits.
Chanthol thanked Schwab for providing his cooperation and support to Cambodia at the World Economic Forum event, during which Cambodia showcased investment and trade opportunities in Cambodia. It was also an opportunity to raise the Kingdom’s profile on the international stage.
Schwab thanked Cambodia for its excellent hospitality and for organising his trip to Siem Reap province to learn about the Kingdom’s cultural heritage.
