ABA Bank, the largest commercial bank in Cambodia and an active corporate citizen, is proud to announce another donation of $100,000 to the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) on the 162nd anniversary of the World Red Cross, to be celebrated on 8 May 2025.
The donation plays a prominent role in aiding CRC in its mission to provide emergency relief, disaster management programs, health services, and more across the country. Regardless of the type of disaster or the remoteness of the affected area, the CRC consistently responds swiftly to those in greatest need.
The donation handover ceremony was graced by the presence of H.E. Dr. Pich Chanmony, Vice President of CRC, Romny Theam, ABA's Executive Vice President and Chief External Affairs Officer - Regional Manager, and other senior management representatives at the Cambodian Red Cross headquarters in Phnom Penh on 1 May.
"We are privileged to support and contribute to CSR's mission of making a lasting difference in the lives of many Cambodians. Their mission exemplifies the spirit of humanitarianism, and their effort to provide emergency relief and promote health is nothing short of remarkable," stated Romny Theam.

"At ABA, we believe in the power of community and remain a steadfast supporter of CRC in making a positive impact through charitable initiatives. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the organization and its frontline staff in fostering a more resilient country," she added.

Established in 1955, the CRC is the country's largest humanitarian organization.
As a long-standing CRC partner, ABA has consistently supported its disaster relief, healthcare, and social welfare services since 2005. One of the latest joint activities occurred in October 2024, where ABA and Takeo's provincial Red Cross staff distributed relief kits to 55 families affected by a natural disaster.

ABA Bank is Cambodia's largest commercial bank by assets, deposits, loans, and profitability, according to the Annual Supervision Report 2021-2023 of the National Bank of Cambodia.
