The Australian International School of Phnom Penh (AISPP) is delighted and proud to celebrate Australia Day, which is marked every January 26 and falls on a Friday this year.
AISPP stands out among the many international schools in Phnom Penh and is the only educational institution in Cambodia to follow the Australian National Curriculum. The innovative new school is located in Russey Keo, a bustling suburb in the northwest area of the capital near Aeon 2 mall and the new Makro store.
Opened in August 2017 and following the current Australian National Curriculum, AISPP is already a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate IB, Primary Years Program PYP, Middle Years Program MYP and Diploma Program DP. This is a huge achievement for a new school.
• Intercultural understanding
Students develop intercultural understanding and international-mindedness as they learn to value their own cultures, languages and beliefs, and those of others. They come to understand how personal, group and national identities are shaped, and that culture is variable and can change.

With primary students from Early Years to Year 6 already enrolled, AISPP is opening its doors to Middle School students in August 2018.

• Critical and creative thinking

Ethical understanding involves students building a strong personal and socially oriented ethical outlook that helps them to manage context, conflict and uncertainty, and to develop an awareness of the influence that their values and behaviour have on others.
