One of the critical challenges in today’s fast-changing world is empowering the younger generation with the necessary knowledge and skills so that they become future leaders in the 21st century.

As China strengthens its key role in international economics with the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, the Chinese language will be used more frequently in business communications. In view of this, SCIA offers trilingual education in English, Chinese and Khmer for Cambodian youths.

The multi-language learning option gives students an advantage in business communications when they enter the work field in the future. It is also one of the academy’s emphasis to embrace the Cambodian culture through learning Khmer.

As a member of the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) Group, SCIA has a blend of Singapore and British curricula which ensures quality and holistic education for their students.

Students are trained to have an excellent grasp of soft skills through signature programmes such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) education.

The interdisciplinary approach of STEM is key to the world’s development as economic and social improvements depend on knowledge application in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Hence, SCIA’s STEM curriculum helps nurture critical thinkers and innovators to be ready for the unique challenges in this rapidly advancing world. Students perform experiments to formulate hypotheses and make well-informed deductions.

As a holistic approach, Character, Leadership, Global Awareness Education (CLGE), Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and Entrepreneurship and Talent Development are the key competencies and skills that are embedded in SCIA’s curriculum. Students are also exposed to project-based immersive learning to encourage critical and creative thinking.

This pedagogical style teaches students in a real-world context and instils active learning through group work, class presentations, and public speaking. This develops their communication skills and teamwork as well.

SCIA also creates opportunities for students to apply learnt skills accordingly in activities and community outreach initiatives, such as the Marketplace Fiesta and service learning activities in Prey Veng province. At the Marketplace Fiesta event, students learnt how to be an entrepreneur, while in Prey Veng, they built toilets for villagers and learnt how to lead and work as a team in the process.

The conducive learning environment at SCIA would not be made possible without a strong teaching force that is made up of competent educators talent-scouted from all over the world including Singapore.

Teachers employ an inquiry-based approach and give differentiated instructions in the classroom. Likewise, a team of skilled instructors conduct enrichment classes in the SCIA Booster & Extension Series, as well as Talent Development Programmes.

Other than the curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12 programme), SCIA is the first and only Recognised Teaching Centre appointed by the University of London (UOL) to offer the International Foundation Programme (IFP), a unique one-year pre-university programme that prepares students for undergraduate studies around the world.

The academy also introduced the Management Foundation Programme (MFP) with its first intake scheduled for this October. The 6-month bridging course is recognised by SIM Group for entry into SIM diploma in Singapore and SIM’s top-ranking partner universities from United Kingdom, Europe, United States and Australia.

These programmes are offered by SCIA’s Foundation Studies Centre (FSC) and designed to provide a solid foundation for students across a broad range of courses related to Economics, Management, Business, Finance and Social Sciences to meet job market demand.

In a world that is increasingly defined by complexity, hyper-connectivity, and rapid technological advancements, SCIA is committed to helping youths take charge of their future.
