Cambodia’s leading mobile banking services provider and the fast-growing ethical financial institution are bringing greater convenience to clients with a collaboration to help raise living standards across the Kingdom.
In another move to further promote mobile banking, Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialised Bank and Chief (Cambodia) Commercial Bank Plc have partnered to allow clients across the Kingdom to repay their loans via Wing agents or the Wing Money App.
Under the agreement signed on Thursday, Chief Bank clients can now repay loans conveniently and securely by visiting any Wing agent, who are on hand in even the most remote parts of Cambodia.
Users will have the option to make payments with just a few taps on their smartphones via the innovative Wing Money App.
“I am delighted to join Chief Bank in our mission to provide our clients with convenient solutions.
“This marks a pivotal milestone that reflects our commitment to refining digital financial services to raise living standards in our community,” Manu Rajan, the CEO of Wing, said at the signing ceremony.
Chief Bank was founded by its chairman Chau Chung Kai Peter, a successful entrepreneur from Hong Kong, where the Chief Group was established over four decades ago with extensive financial businesses.
Wing – with a 12-year history in mobile payments – has diligently provided Cambodians with convenient access to relevant mobile financial services that are safe, instant and designed to improve people’s daily lives.
Wing’s commitment to empowering Cambodians with financial inclusion has led them to foster a strong network of Wing agents and the development of the Wing Money App.
A key point in the Wing-Chief Bank partnership is the shared vision of using their financial capacity to raise the living standards of Cambodians across the Kingdom.
“This partnership reflects Chief Bank’s commitment to refining our products to meet the financial needs of our growing client base so that they can focus on business growth.
“Chief Bank customers will have an exciting new option which allows them to pay their loans without having to visit our brick-and-mortar banks,” said Chief Bank CEO Dr Soeung Morarith.
Chief Bank has enjoyed continued growth in the Kingdom since beginning operations in December 2013 with initial capital of just $10 million, while total assets were more than $143 million as of January 19 this year. It has a total staff strength of more than 140.
“Chief Bank utilises a business model that is localised, customised and best suited to the real needs of our clients in Cambodia.
“We have been actively working to further refine our existing products, and introducing new products and services to meet our clients’ growing needs.
“We would like to suggest you visit our website – chiefbank.com.kh – download our Chief Mobile App or visit one of our strategically placed branches, where you will find a tailor-made and exclusive service for you,” Morarith said.
Originally established in Hong Kong in 1979, Chief Group has gone from strength to strength by adhering to its core beliefs of ethical practices and prudent investment.
“We have stayed the course by sticking to our vision, mission, goals and philosophy, and by serving our customers better than ever, to yield sound results.
“Our successes are attributed to a strong team spirit with clear vision and policies,” he added.
