The National Election Committee (NEC) announced that it will hold a stakeholder meeting on June 3 at 4pm to wrap up the campaign season for the June 5 commune council elections.

To be held at the NEC conference hall on the first floor – second floor in US terminology – and chaired by committee member Dim Sovannarom, the meeting will address the public posting of official voter lists at each polling station as well as other general matters relevant to the campaigns, the NEC said in a May 28 press statement.

The 14-day campaign season kicked off on May 21 and will continue until June 3. As of May 27, no major incidents have been recorded on the safety, security and public order fronts, the NEC said, adding that all campaigns have gone rather smoothly without violence or threats.
