The Covid-19 vaccination commission within the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training has added four more sites in Phnom Penh to speed up vaccination against the disease for factory workers.

The new locations are organised at four factories including Apsara Garment, Green Way, Splendid Chance, and Sportex, adding to the existing 14 sites, the ministry said on April 13.

As of April 13, it said a total of 68,119 workers, including 2,628 foreigners, had registered to receive the jab on a voluntary basis. But only 65,823 have been vaccinated -- the rest were denied the jabs due to their pre-existing health conditions.

“Our vaccination drive goes smoothly ... adhering to the Ministry of Health guidelines,” it said.

The ministry urged other workers who have not been vaccinated to register with their factory administration without delay.
