Forty secondary school teachers have received an online training course on information technology for distance teaching and learning provided by the Busan municipal education department in South Korea.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport said on September 30 that the training, which was aimed at equipping them with IT knowledge to assist in their teaching amid the Covid-19 pandemic, started from August 2 through September 30.

“The ministry has cooperated with the Busan education department ... to provide an online course on the use of information technology for distance teaching and learning for 40 teachers from public secondary schools,” it said.

Although the course has been completed, the teachers can still get assistance from their Korean counterparts in lesson planning.
