Taxi drivers stationed in Kampong Chhnang market area in Kampong Chhnang province were targeted for Covid-19 testing on June 10 following the temporary suspension of all taxi services to Kampong Chhnang town after two drivers there tested positive.

Provincial governor Yin Saven told The Post on June 10 that medical personnel had taken samples from around 120 taxi drivers and individuals who may have been exposed, but all of the results were negative and town authorities would therefore let them resume normal operations later that day.

"There were 51 taxi drivers in Kampong Chhnang town, but other people were also possibly exposed. Therefore, 120 people were tested and the results came back negative, so we let them go about their business," he said.

Provincial health department director Prak Vun those who tested negative were allowed to return home without any quarantine required.
