The Ministry of Health on April 20 reported four new deaths from Covid-19 and another 431 infections, all but two of which were linked to the February 20 community outbreak.

The latest deceased patients are all Cambodians aged 40 to 72.

The two imported cases are an Indonesian man who arrived from India via South Korea on April 18 and a Chinese woman who arrived on April 6.

Of the 429 cluster cases, one is a Vietnamese national and the rest are Cambodians including two children aged 6 to 8.

Phnom Penh recorded the most cases at 271, followed by Preah Sihanouk at 133; Kandal at 10; four each in Kampong Cham and Takeo; two in Prey Veng; and one each in Tbong Khmum, Svay Rieng, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom and Kampot.

The ministry also reported 31 recoveries linked to the February 20 outbreak.

As of April 20, Cambodia had recorded a total of 7,444 Covid-19 cases with 4,835 receiving ongoing treatment and 49 confirmed fatalities.
