A total of 209 vehicles were impounded during the first 12 days of the 8pm-5am curfew imposed in Phnom Penh on April 2.

Phnom Penh municipal police spokesman San Sokseyha told The Post on April 14 that the vehicles included 39 cars and 170 motorbikes.

Sokseyha said most of the vehicle owners lacked documentation or permit and acknowledged their guilt.

The curfew, aimed at stemming the spread of the coronavirus amid the ongoing community outbreak, has been extended for another two weeks through April 28.
