Defence Office Manager

(Locally Engaged Staff – Level 4)

 

The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for a Defence Office Manager. At least one vacancy will be filled through this process, with suitable candidates merit listed for future vacancies.

 

The Defence Office Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient running of the Defence Section office by undertaking a range of duties including providing advice to staff and management on a range of corporate and Defence section management matters. The position holds primary responsibility for finance functions, leads on compliance matters, drafts formal correspondence, and undertakes research and analysis. The position assists the Defence Attaché’s public diplomacy efforts to promote a positive image of Australia and to strengthen our engagement with the RCAF. The position may require some driving.

 

This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 24-month contract, with the possibility of renewal and ultimately permanent employment.

 

A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position is USD1,332 to USD1,616.

 

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance and must therefore hold citizenship of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA or the United Kingdom and be entitled to work at a diplomatic mission in Phnom Penh.
