Defence Cooperation Officer

(Locally Engaged Staff – Level 5)

 

The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for a Defence Cooperation Officer. At least one vacancy will be filled through this process, with suitable candidates merit listed for future vacancies.

 

The Defence Cooperation Officer deals directly with the RCAF to progress the DCP. Under general direction, and within established procedures, legislation and policies, the Defence Cooperation Officer undertakes a range of duties including managing a team of locally engaged staff and providing oversight of the DCP. The position also conducts research and provides advice on aspects of the RCAF and may require some driving.

 

This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 24-month contract, with the possibility of renewal and ultimately permanent employment.

 

A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position is USD1,997 to USD2,403.
