When Somboon Mongkolombat started the first Toastmasters club in Cambodia in 2006 called PUC Toastmasters, it helped change the lives of introverts who have since become better communicators.
TM Saad is one such person. He used to be invisible to people, but now he has gained friends and influences people thanks to his ability to express himself better.
He and more than 200 attendees had further gained from the Toastmasters event held on Sunday, June 30, at PUC South Campus, which taught them the finer points of public speaking.
Today, three more Toastmasters clubs have been added – Edniche Toastmasters, Cambodia Post Bank Executive Toastmasters, and Debora Toastmasters.
The global nonprofit organisation empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Membership has exceeded 357,000 in more than 16,600 clubs in 143 countries. photo supplied
