Orkide Development, having broken ground on its latest “Orkide the Pochentong" project in May, has completely sold out of its first phase.
Nearly 1,000 customers made inquiries at its sales gallery in Sen Sok district’s Phnom Penh Thmey commune on Monday, the first day of its opening.
The developer said that it was now opening up new phases given the positive reception for its most recent project.
The mixed development Pochentong project, located on Street 105K, boasts 1,000 units, including luxury villas and commercial buildings. Residents have the option of living in the Marigold or Sunflower villas.
Commercial operators have a myriad of choices under the ‘Tulip’ name, including The Tulip Corner and The Tulip shophouse.
Prices for commercial and residential units start at $250,000.
Representatives for the development said that the residential units were designed unique from other previous Orkide projects, aiming to bring unparalleled modern and luxurious living to Cambodian homebuyers.
The development allows homeowners to invest in high-end, contemporary houses with around-the-clock security.
Among the more than 900 people to visit the sales gallery on Monday was Ly Phal Long. The 60-year-old said he had visited the sales gallery to learn more about the high-end commercial options available to him.
“I came here today to look for a shophouse, because this project is on the main road and in a populous area, so if I were to get a shophouse here, it would allow me and my family to run a [successful]business,” he said.
Tit Sovannrith, 37, also visited the sales gallery on the first day, saying he was interested in living in the Pochentong development as it is ideally located on a main road near Phnom Penh International Airport.
