Japan’s logistics operator Nippon Express (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. inaugurated its dry port/Phnom Penh Logistic Centre - a multi-purpose warehouse at the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (SEZ) on Monday to service its growing clientele.
The 40,000 sqm logistics centre includes temperature control storage, cold storage, freight forwarder, custom broker and a container freight station – all will help the company to serve the diverse market needs as Cambodia’s economy continues to chalk remarkable growth over the last decades.
Nippon Express Co., Ltd president and CEO Mitsuru Saito said “our company is pursuing our goal of becoming a logistics company with a solid foundation in the global market, a long-term vision for 2037 to celebrate the 100 years anniversary of creating this company, and to achieve this, we are working to accelerate progress and improvement of corporate values focuses on global markets, especially in Asia”.
“In Cambodia and the Mekong region, we strongly believe that we can further contribute to our clients’ business activities. In addition, we will strive to be the main driving force of social development in Cambodia through this logistics service,” he said at the launching ceremony.
