On Saturday, the Philippine Embassy in Cambodia hosted a number of activities under the banner of “Music from the Islands: A Friendship Concert of the Philippines” with Loboc Children’s Choir at Chaktomuk Theatre, to celebrate the 118-year anniversary of Philippine independence. The Loboc Childrens’ Choir is world-renowned, and has performed in Australia, New Zealand and China, as well as having toured European. They have also produced their own album. Phoeurng Sackona, Cambodia’s minister of Culture, attended as a guest of honour at this event, which hosted by the Embassy, headed by Philippine Ambassador Christopher B Montero.
