Hong Kong firm Acclime makes debut in Kingdom

Hong Kong-based corporate services provider Acclime announced that it has completed the acquisition of Phnom Penh-headquartered regional consulting and advisory firm BSE Accounting Co Ltd.

BSE will soon be rebranded and operate under the new name of Acclime Cambodia, giving Acclime a foothold in its eighth jurisdiction in Asia following China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, Acclime said on Tuesday.

It said BSE serves a wide variety of local and international clients from diverse industries including hotels and restaurants, import and export, manufacturing and retail.

Based in Boeung Keng Kang district’s Tuol Svay Prey I commune, BSE offers services such as business management, market-entry advice, human resources, tax planning, accounting and outsourced bookkeeping and payroll, it said.

BSE managing director San Rithy said: “We are excited to be part of a regional network and look forward to be integrated under the Acclime brand.

“Not only can our team get access to the expertise and resources of a well-established regional network, it will also benefit our clients who desire the same high standard of professional services in other Asian markets.”

Acclime co-founder and CEO Martin Crawford said its new-found presence in Cambodia is a major milestone for the company.

The Kingdom is one of Asia’s most exciting emerging markets, he said. “The country has an open foreign investment policy and with the introduction of new investment laws, it will certainly attract more foreign direct investment.

“Having a presence in this emerging market will not only strengthen our capabilities to assist clients navigating the complex regulatory landscape in Cambodia, but it will also solidify our presence in the country to support Cambodian clients wishing to expand regionally,” Crawford said.

Acclime said it currently employs around 300 people globally.
