Miss Global 2016 Angela Bonilla of Ecuador visited and performed humanitarian services in Cambodia from July 11 to 24 in efforts to understand Cambodian culture and society. As part of her visit, to Miss Global came to the POSH shop near Sorya Shopping Center on July 19. Bluebird graduation day
Nearly 300 hundred people, including parents, children and partners, cheerfully gathered on Sunday, July 16, at Hotel Cambodiana to honour the celebration of Bluebird’s students who had graduated from Reception Level. The graduation also recognised the children’s achievements throughout the year, testifying to Bluebird British International Preschool’s commitment to promote a positive learning environment through real life experiences.
France supports women and children health care projects in garment factories
Agence Française de Développement (AFD) recently executed a grant agreement with the NGO PlanèteEnfants et Développement (PE&D) to finance the establishment of health and early childhood services for textile workers in Cambodia for the amount of €330,000.
Philippe Steinmetz, country director of AFD for Cambodia, and Nathalie Dupont, president of the PE&D, signed this agreement under the aegis of Eva Nguyen Bin, French Ambassador to Cambodia, and in the presence of representatives of Cambodian institutions and NGOs.

Kep Kep Clean! set to hit coastal town for fifth edition
Cambodia-registered nongovernmental organisation Three Hearts Foundation (THF) is set to unveil the fifth edition of Kep Kep Clean to help the citizens of Kep province appreciate the benefits of keeping the environment free from litter, which could lead to health hazards.
Having led the drive for rubbish clearance and management – particularly by students, – for the last five years, THF is taking another step with the introduction of a new project on recycling.
Members of media take tour of Taiwan’s Kaohsiung city
Taiwan’s Xing Fuwh Travel cooperated with the Kaohsiung city government and JC International Airline to invite media from Cambodia to visit Kaohsiung. The media mission, which took place from July 10 to July 13, started with a visit to the 85 Sky Tower next to the port of Kaohsiung and sunbeam marina. On the second day, members of the media visited the Pier-2 Art Center, which was originally a port warehouse when it was built in 1973.
Ignite Talks come to city
Ignite Talks was brought to Cambodia at an event called Ignite Phnom Penh, which was held on June 25 at the Cambodia-Korea Cooperate Centre. the event received support and participations from students and staff from a variety of schools, universities and organisations, with 812 attendees. Ignite Phnom Penh featured 15 speakers, with some talking about their years of work in the social sector, and others who are students at universities in Phnom Penh who wanted to share their experience and knowledge.
