Remorque Tourism Campaign in Cambodia to attract more tourists from the Philippines

So Mara, secretary of state of the Ministry of Tourism, officially launched the Philippines’ Remorque Tourism Campaign on Thursday, at the courtyard of the Philippines Embassy in Phnom Penh. The campaign involves mini-billboards mounted on the back of the ubiquitous remorques driving around the cities of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap – both populated with Cambodian and foreign tourists that the Philippines hopes to attract. Visa now accepted at Angkor Wat
On Friday 15, Visa, the global payments technology company, signed memorandum of understanding with Angkor Enterprise to promote tourism to Angkor Wat and Cambodia. Visa cards are now accepted at Angkor Wat, to drive tourism and increase the shift from cash to electronic payments in Cambodia. It will provide visitors with a faster, more secure and more convenient payment experience. As part of the agreement, Visa will be offering a 3 percent discount on admission tickets to Angkor Wat purchased using Visa cards from October until the end of November 2017.

Public screenings held for First They Killed My Father in cinemas
The First public screening of the Khmer-language Netflix film First They Killed My Father was held on Septerber 8 in Cambodia exclusively by Westec Media, which arranged a one-month theatrical run at Legend Tuol Kork, City Mall and Stung Meanchey as well as Major Cineplex , Prime Cineplex and Baray Andet in advance of the worldwide release of the film by Netflix on September 15. The film is dedicated to those who died under the Khmer Rouge, as well as survivors.
Angkor Premium Beer celebrates Khmer spirit of the 29th SEA Games medalists
On September 4 Angkor Premium Beer, the most popular beer in the Kingdom, celebrated the country’s victories at the recently concluded 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held in Kuala Lumpur, with a special prize ceremony for the winning athletes. With 17 medals comprising three gold, two silver and 12 bronze, this year’s achievement was a great improvement for Cmabodia over the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore, where Cambodia bagged one gold, five silver and nine bronze medals.
