Position Identification
Position Title: Operations Assistant

Report to: Head, Project Administration Unit, ADB -CARM
Job Responsibilities
♦ Support the processing and administration of loan, grant and technical assistance projects;
♦ Monitor compliance with ADB's policies, procedures, guidelines and instructions;
♦ Undertake analysis of ADB's lending and TA program on key operational parameters and economic and financial issues;
♦ Assist in the review of new ADB-wide initiatives and change proposals covering all spheres of ADB operations;
♦ Assists supervisors undertake new initiatives including changes in business processes and departmental procedures and practices;
♦ Ensure the quality of CARM’s key outputs and deliverables (to include but not limited to reports, reviews, assessments, minutes of meetings, concept papers);
♦ Prepare materials for management briefings and meetings;
♦ Assist in preparation of briefing notes and presentation materials for workshops, conferences, meetings and seminars on strategic themes and operational topics;
♦ Provide ad hoc support to the CARM’s units in strengthening the quality of key outputs, documents and deliverables;
♦ Contribute to knowledge management, departmental events and seminars;
Job Requirements
♦ Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, financial management, public administration or related fields.
♦ At least 5 years of relevant work experience, related experience in international agencies will be preferred.
♦ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of operational processes and procedures of ADB or other international organizations.
♦ Proficiency in operating microcomputers and software applications for performing word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and database applications.
♦ Able to liaise and work effectively with staff within own work location and throughout ADB.
♦ Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
♦ Very good oral and writing English communication skills.
