Cambodia-registered nongovernmental organisation Three Hearts Foundation (THF) is set to unveil the fifth edition of Kep Kep Clean to help the citizens of Kep province appreciate the benefits of keeping the environment free from litter, which could lead to health hazards.
Having led the drive for rubbish clearance and management – particularly by students, – for the last five years, THF is taking another step with the introduction of a new project on recycling.
One of THF’s partners, Tennis Cambodia, will be represented in the programme by Secretary General Tep Rithivit, who will be joined by Kep’s goodwill ambassador, model Kiko Arai and her elder sister Hisae Arai, who is the managing director of THF.
Ahead of the project, Arai said she was impressed by the creativity shown by students of a local school in use recycled good to produce a range of products that were not only functional and decorative but also marketable. She said she hoped the trend will continue to grow. Photos by Hong Menea
